GROUP LESSONS:

Group lessons are an inexpensive, yet very effective way to get your child involved in music.

KidTunes Guitar

Up to 4 students per group.  This method is ideal for younger students up to age 12.  The peer interaction makes lessons more fun and more productive than private lessons in this age group.
If you are interested, please let us know so that we can get you on the list.  Students will be placed together according to age.

Adult Group Guitar
:

Up to 10 students per class.  This is an ongoing, open enrollment class for beginners who want to take some affordable classes on guitar.  These classes are ideal for anyone who isn't sure yet if the guitar is for them, or if they just want to get a jump start before diving in to private lessons.  It is also just a fun, relaxed environment in which to learn.
CLASSES:

The J.A.M. Conservatory periodically offers music theory classes.  There must be at least 5 students enrolled to make a class.  This is a great way to improve your understanding of music and how it works.  Individuals who wish to compose or arrange their own music, or those who wish to become good improvisational players, must gain a strong understanding of music theory.

SUMMER- MUSIC THEORY AND WRITING
July 19-23

The introduction to music theory class is a thorough primer for anyone interested in how music works. Students will learn the basic rules of harmony, chord progressions, melody and accompaniment, chord structure, scales and intervals, and rhythm. The class is designed for those who are taking lessons in an instrument (including school band or orchestra), or those who have had lessons before, or plan to take lessons in the future. It is also good for anyone planning to play in a band. The information will be related to instrumental application, although you will not be required to play any instruments during the class. By the end of the class, students will know enough to compose original music, and will do so for the final project.

KINDERMUSIK® :

As of September 2009 we are offering Kindermusik® classes.  These are early childhood music classes that give parents and children a chance to have fun together while the child learns and develops.  You can read more about the program at kindermusik.com.
