SUMMER CLASSES

Music theory and writing classes are being added this summer.  Beginning June 14, we will have one week of music theory and writing for students age 15 and up. 
Beginning June 19, July 12, and July 19, we will have week-long mini camps for young guitarists from 9:30am to noon.

New Teachers  We are very fortunate to have recently hired some new teachers for our growing school!

Craig Bennington is a brilliant award winning guitarist, recording artist, and teacher, and performs regularly with the very popular Kory Brunson Band.

 

Student Guitar Competition Results  We had 2 age divisions this time around, and our winners are Tommy Trotter and Bryan McDonald.  Congrats, guys.  The shirts are on the way.


Student Guitar Competition  Beginning the first week of November 2009, guitar students are competing against one another for points.  The winners will receive t-shirts, and will earn respect and bragging rights!  Click the tab at the top labeled "GUITAR COMPETITION" for more information.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony  Thursday September 24 at 12:00 noon we will have a ribbon cutting ceremony, courtesy of the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate the launch of our Kindermusik and KidTunes programs.  Enroll in any of our programs or lessons on that day during the ceremony and receive free registration.

Questar Academy Partnership.  J.A.M. has joined forces with Questar Academy of Broomfield to provide music instruction to their K-5 students.  We're also assisting with the music program of their summer camp, running June 15 - July 10.

Online Lessons.  We are currently preparing to offer live, online instruction through various videoconferencing programs.  The cost will be less than typical lessons, but will still be of very high quality and very effective.  Technology has advanced to a point where both audio and video can be very clear, and quality instruction is possible.  We expect to first offer guitar and electric bass lessons by this method, but expect to soon offer online instruction in other instruments as well.  Stay tuned!

Group Guitar.   The KidTunes Guitar program is now available at J.A.M.  Kids age 6-12 can take lessons with up to 3 other kids in their age group.  This method is very effective and adds a peer interaction element which helps to keep the kids interested and motivated.  Tuition for the program is $60 monthly, which makes it more affordable than private lessons.

Violin and Voice.   In addition to previous offerings, we now offer lessons in violin, viola and voice.  Our teachers are very experienced and hold graduate degrees in their field of specialty.  Please contact us to schedule lessons with some of Colorado's best teachers.
